As it is summer, I haven't really felt like wearing a heavy artillery of makeup recently, especially since here in NW Washington State we are temporarily finding ourselves in warmer humid temperatures with sunshine. Who wants to wear loads of makeup with all that? Plus, I have been going to the gym in the early evenings, so with that in mind, I rather not put on all this product to only have to wash it off mere hours later. Logical, right?
Being it's Saturday and I don't usually go to the gym on the weekends, I decided to apply my full face...sometimes I skip steps or only apply a light layer of foundation, but today I went full out. Primer, foundation, concealer, powder, contouring and highlighting, blush...and a tad bit of mascara and liner.
While applying my makeup, I decided to do half my face so that I could compare the results with the naked half. I wear a medium-coverage liquid foundation, so you can still see a bit of my freckles on the made up side. I kind of prefer it that way since it looks more natural (for me anyway).

In this one you can see the dark circles...and the overall effect.

Ok, this isn't meant to be so in your face, but this one you can see the discolorations.
So my question to you is which side is made up to you?
And in spite of that, do you think I really need all these products? I rarely wear a full face unless I know I am going to be in a lot of HD photos or in the rarer event that I have severe blemishes.
Well the answer to you is that the left side is completely made up and the right side has no trace of makeup. What do you think?
Well here is the full face made up:
I in no way Photoshopped or edited this photo. This is in its full glory. What do you think now?
Well, I leave you now in contemplation of whether or not we women are too over-analytical of our own flaws and especially in the nature of covering and concealing them.
Off to clean my face and do a clay mask!
